So I'm sitting in a seat at a gate in the Phoenix airport waiting to get on a plane, and as I look down I see a black button with a little thread sticking out. I think "Aw, somone lost their button. I bet they land in some city, get where they are going and then realize that they lost a button and that it's probably sitting in Phoenix. A part has been torn from them and lies a thousand miles away and will most likley be put in the trash forever". I leave it there with the hopes that the poor person will notice before they leave and come back to find it, or if it evades the vaccum's vortex, it remains there for them to find on their way back through the airport in the future.
As I sit in my airplane seat, I take off my coat and notice that I'm missing a black button with its threading.
